COLLABORATIVE PERFORMANCE SERIES

Founder of 4thrightdance, Ashley Suttlar Martin, and co-founder of DMdance, Jamie Drye, have collaborating on a performance series, FRESH, showcasing new works across the east coast.  Valerie Ifill as been invited to join these innovative artists to show works in the FRESH - 2014 series.

Jamie Drye beagn his dance training at Western Carolina University and received a BA in Dance Performance from Winthrop University. Drye is a Bokwa Education Specialist Trainer (CT) and a Zumba Fitness Instructor in New York City where he currently resides and works as an independent artist. He is co-producer of FRESH, a performance series that tours major cities along the east coast and co- artistic director of Drye/Marinaro Dance Company (PA). 

Ashley Suttlar Martin  is an Independent Artist, performing and teaching throughout the country. She holds a MFA in Dance from Temple University and a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has served on faculty at Morehead State University (KY), Queensborough Community College - City University of New York, Central Piedmont Community College (NC) and Coker College (SC). Since Martin's relocation to Charlotte, she participated in the 20th Anniversary North Carolina Dance Festival as a Touring Artist, and served as Coordinator of the 48 Hour Project (Charlotte Dance Festival Board). Martin is co-producer of FRESH, a performance series that tours major cities along the east coast, teaches Bokwa fitness and is the desginer of Embellish, her own line of hancrafted accessories.
